Programme in Advertising & Marketing

The programme in Advertising and Marketing aims to acquaint students with the dynamic world of Advertising alongwith a comprehensive knowledge of Marketing (for Media) and its importance. The programme has multiple career opportunities. Students interested in pursuing a career in Advertising or Media Marketing and those who wish to understand the nuances of the industry a student who wishes build a strong foundation in marketing communications before further study; or anyone excited to hone their creative and lateral skill may apply for the programme.

 

Upon completion the student will acquire dual certification namely, from Media and Entertainment Skill Council (MESC) and DSC. Students may choose to enter any of the numerous fields of Advertising (such as Client Servicing, Account Planning, Media Planning & Creative) and Ad & Media Sales. Students can aspire to work in leading Advertising and creative agencies alongwith prestigious Media houses, be it leading Newspapers, radio channels and television channels.

Internship

The programme at DSC aims to bring integrate theoretical knowledge with practical work exposure. Each student will be placed at prestigious Advertising and Media houses for an internship stint to help apply theory learnt to practise.

Placement

Internship Opportunities may convert to placement offers. All assistance regarding placements will be provided.

Eligibility

Anybody who has completed his Higher Secondary ( 12th) and above is eligible to apply for the programme.
The Application form for the course maybe filled at the institute

1. The application form is free of charge

2. Upon registration the student will be invited for a Personality Interview and upon clearing the same, the student will be invited to join the programme.

Certification

Upon completion, a student will be assessed for two certifications. One from MESC, namely Certification on Account Executive and Sales Executive (Media) – each, separately. The student will be required to take the MESC evaluation/test for their certification. This apart student will also receive a certification from The Delhi School of Communication for the 6 month course having undertaken suitable tests.
